Is-sinjal għal JUM IR-REPUBBLIKA għandha żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel, l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ ponn bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. Id waħda titqiegħed fil-ġenb livell għola mill-oħra livell mal-ispalla u l-id l-oħra titqiegħed fin-nofs livell mal-qadd. L-idejn jimxu flimkien ’l isfel djagonalment lejn il-ġenb. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal JUM. Id waħda tieħu s-sinjal għal 1 bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u bil-ponta tal-werrej tħares lejn il-ġenb. L-id tinżel fil-ġenb mil-livell ta’ fuq tar-ras ’l isfel livell tal-ispalla.

The sign for REPUBLIC DAY has two parts. (i) First, the hands take the shape of fists with palms facing inwards. One hand is placed higher than the other at shoulder level at the side whilst the other hand is placed in the middle at waist level. The hands move together diagonally downwards towards the side. (ii) Then the sign for DAY is made with one hand that takes the shape of 1 with palm facing inwards and the index fingertip pointing to the side. The hand moves downwards from the top of the head to shoulder level.
